A gift the family can hear: a memoir of their own voice notes

A voice memoir collects one person's voice notes into a hardcover: their words, dated, in chapters, with a QR code on every chapter that plays their voice. It works as a birthday or holiday gift for the person themselves, or as a keepsake for children and grandchildren after a loss, and extra copies go to siblings at the same address.

Make it in an evening

  1. Collect the voice notes. Export the chat with media from your phone; ask siblings to export theirs too.
  2. Make the memoir in ChatGPT. Attach the export, choose the person, and let ChatGPT suggest chapter titles from the transcripts.
  3. Add a dedication. A line on its own page: who it is for, and why.
  4. Order copies. Order one copy per household to the same address, or one each later.
