How to turn someone's WhatsApp voice notes into a book

Export the chat with media, then give the ZIP to Heardloom in ChatGPT: it keeps only the person you choose, transcribes every voice note in the language it was spoken, and arranges the notes into dated chapters. The printed hardcover has each note's words under its date, and every chapter opens with a QR code that plays the original recordings.

From voice notes to a book

  1. Export the chat with media. Follow WhatsApp's Export chat with Attach Media (iPhone) or Include media (Android) and save the ZIP.
  2. Attach it in ChatGPT. Ask: “Turn Nana's WhatsApp voice notes into a book” and attach the ZIP. Heardloom lists who sent voice notes and how many.
  3. Choose the person and confirm. Pick one person and confirm you may use their recordings. Everything else in the export is deleted at once.
  4. Shape the chapters. When the transcripts are ready, ChatGPT reads them and suggests chapter titles in the person's own words. Fix a misheard word in the card.
  5. Preview and print. Look through every page, then order. The hardcover is printed and shipped by Lulu to the US and Canada.

Questions

How many voice notes make a book?

One note is enough to print; about two one-minute notes fill a page, and a book holds up to 320 pages.

Does ChatGPT rewrite what they said?

No. The book prints their words as transcribed. ChatGPT titles chapters and can fix an obvious mishearing, and you approve it in the card.

Who can listen to the QR codes?

Anyone holding the book: each code opens an unlisted page with that chapter's recordings, with no account.
